Junior Golf

Junior Golf provides an opportunity to teach the next generation of golfers about the game. Mike Thompson is a strong supporter of Junior Golf, having worked since 1999 as a Regional Instructor for Junior Golf Clinics and an Instructor at Junior Golf Camps. He also serves as the Co-Chairperson of the Philadelphia Section Junior Golf Committee.

Junior Golf Awards and Recognition

Mike continues to support the Junrior Golf Program through his active participation in the Philadelphia Section and the programs they support in our area. Past recognition also includes:

2001 - Award Winner "Junior Golf Leader" presented by the PGA, Philadelphia Section and nominated for the National PGA's "Junior Golf Leader"
2001 - Coached young lady qualifier at State level
2001 - Coached 8 children to district championship
2000 - Coached junior golfer to Chesmont League Championship
1999 - 2001 Coordinator and instructor at golf camps for the City of Philadelphia
1998 - Variety Club " Special Achievement Award" winner, received in recogntion of service to the Variety Club's special children
From 1997 - 2001, Mike participated in the Variety Club's "Golf Buddy" program providing instruction to children with special needs.
